Grandma's Shirt (From the 80's?)

Awhile back, my grandma gave me an old silk shirt of hers to use for fabric. It's been hanging in my closet, until eureka! I finally figured out what to do with it.

I used the button band as a fun accent at the center back of this high- waisted pencil skirt as the closure (with snaps between buttons so there are no gaps), and the shirt front's original hem opening as a pleat. The waistband came from the sleeves.

Oh, how I love to reuse and recycle ;)

Taking it Slow, for Now...

In light of my new job, I unfortunately will have fewer hours to devote to my line. This by no means implies that I won't be designing, I just won't be able to produce a hefty volume for awhile. This also means that requesting custom projects is a good way to go, because I can easily work on those in my spare time as opposed to the time it takes designing and constructing new products completely from scratch. Now back to working on my line! Happy browsing,

Elena
