Take a gander at the new addition to my recycled line! The Sea Breeze Tunic was made from a 100% organic cotton t shirt with lace embelishments, cutouts, an elastic waist to cinch it in, and remnants of a bridesmaid dress as waistline detail. Lots of love went into this unique piece! I am loving the re-/ de- construction garments that I have been designing... more to come. Introducing my New Recycled/ Reconstructed Line {Double Take}
Hello fashion friends! It's finally happened... for all the talk about my love of recycling garments and deconstruction/ reconstruction, I have taken the first steps and started a line called Double Take. I made a jacket out of an old fleece blanket using only materials I already had or that I have repurposed. I handstitched the blanket stitching around the edges with yarn, used wooden buttons, and added those essential pockets on the sideseams that zip shut. Hope you like what you see, this is just the first in a line to come... Feel free to post questions or comments, I love feedback. If you are interested, this jacket is listed in my Etsy shop as "Chill in the Desert Air Jacket"; just click on the Etsy badge at the end of this post and it will take you directly to my shop to browse. Otherwise, click here to go directly to this listing.
